That is what this release is all about! We have been working hard on improving and creating new features in JOSF, including Typed input parameters for Page Actions, File management to be able to use files in your test cases, Variable overview for more control during test case creation and lots more!
Data driven reports
✅ Running a data driven test case, now creates individual run reports. This way, it’s easy to see if your system is passing for all of your data inputs!
⏩ Next to that, you can select which data driven run(s) should be executed from the play button
File repository and manager
➕ Add files and folders that can be used during testing. File to upload are managed through JOSF’s repository system and synchronizes with your team members.
📖 Files can be selected from test steps and JOSF will show you if your data includes a file. Any changes that you make on the file, will be propagated to all the places you use it.
Page object explorer
👉 Page actions in test cases now include a autocomplete and an explorer view. Open up the explorer and directly select the required page action!
⬅️ Page actions created from group now have the ability to immediately be added to a already existing Page through the explorer.
Rerun failed tests
🔄️ When any of your tests are failing during a play book run, press the Rerun failed tests button to highlight and rerun any failed test.
🔀 Runs are merged together and reflect the state of your test aggregated test result!
🏁 Rerunning failed test cases also works from the command line interface, by adding the
retryCount as an option!
Typed input parameters
🦾 Empower your test case creators and guide them with different types of input parameters.
✨ Choose a password field to hide any sensitive data. Use the choice to make use of true/false situations in your page action. Create suggestions as data fields to make it easier to select test data or enable a block of code or a file selection to quickly make use of extended features.
💲 To gain more control during creating and maintaining of test cases, you now have the ability view and edit variables!
👀 Add certain variables to the top, to always keep an eye on specific values!
Other features and improvements
Next to that, we have implemented many other features like a power off button, view logging screen, drag and drop improvements and lots of tiny improvements to make your testing even easier!
